Evelyn Pe

Evelyn Pe is originally from Myanmar and speaks Burmese and English.  She has lived in Australia for over 35 years.  Before coming to Australia, she lived in Myanmar for nearly 30 years where she was born.

In Australia she has worked and studied Public Health and Community Care. She has also worked as a Burmese Interpreter for 18 years.  She is well connected with new arrivals from refugee backgrounds and the refugee health sector. She has been part of the ‘Refugee Health Advisory Group ‘(G11) for the past 15 years.

She is involved as a volunteer in the Myanmar community, including being on the board at AMFAQ, G 11 and ECCQ Statewide Com Health Advisory Committee and has been involved in multiple presentations to Myanmar community and others.

She is passionate about working and helping with refugees and migrant people.
