Volunteering
Brisbane
There are many organisations across Brisbane who are working hard to support refugees and asylum seekers in our community and advocate for their rights. The Brisbane Refugee and Asylum Seeker Network (BRASS) keep a list of such organisations and opportunities.
The Qld Program of Assistance to Survivors of Torture and Trauma (QPASTT) Homework club is a space where young people aged 12-24 years from a refugee background receive homework assistance from volunteers tutors. Students bring their own homework and receive help from our lovely team of volunteers tutors. Most tutors have subject areas that they prefer to tutor in. They require that tutors volunteer for a mininum of one school term. Read more about QPASTT and become a tutor here.
